Hi

I haven't been using my 3200 for a while since I've been using various EEE PCs instead but I've decided to bring it back into service as I've found it's often still handy (and cool) to have something to hand which can fit in my pocket.

Anyway, I've been using pdaXii13 on my Zaurus  over the past year or so and I have been very happy with it. However, I've just checked my disk space usage and I have 1.4 GB free on root. Now, as I use the full image version installed to hard drive I don't need to install very much more software so I think it would be better if I could reduce the root partition on the hard drive to 1GB and then have a larger data drive. I'm reinstalling pdaXii13 and I'm trying to use fdisk when installing to achieve this with no luck. It's worth mentioning that I'd like to keep the default swap file as well.

Please would someone be kind enough to let me know exactly what I need to type in fdisk to do the above.

Many thanks in advance

« on: May 02, 2007, 07:22:51 am »
Hi

I have a quick question please.

I want to create an application icon on a tab which will open up an .html file that is stored on my hdd, in Opera.

I have created the item on the tab, selected the icon I want and then set the application to Opera but how do I tell it which page to open when I click the icon?

Many Thanks

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Cacko Incorrectly Says /hdd3 Is Full
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:17:12 am »
Hi

When I plug my SL-C3200 running Cacko full into my Windows XP machine via USB, with PC Link Mode setting to Storage - Internal HDD, Windows Explorer says that there is 580MB free.

However, Cacko thinks it is full, my df line for /hdd3 reads:-

/dev/hda   35968284   5935472    32812    99%    /hdd3

There has always been a difference between what Cacko and Windows reports but it has become a problem now as I cannot create a swap file even though I know there is space available.

Also, I am trying to bluetooth a file from my phone to the Zaurus and cannot as the Zaurus believes the disk drive is full.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Sharp ROMs / Usb Ethernet Adapter On Cacko
« on: January 07, 2007, 01:37:05 pm »
Hi

I'm a fairly new Zaurus user and have used this excellent forum to solve most of my teething troubles over the last few months but I am still stuck on a couple of issues.

One if which is getting my cheap USB Ethernet adapter to work on my SL-C3200 running  Cacko. As stated in the title it is marked MODEL : KH886 and is made by KangHui Tech CO.,LTD. When I plug it in with the USB Host cable absolutely nothing happens.

Does anyone know if this should work as is or will I need specific drivers. I have searched the forum and also with Google but haven't come up with anything.

Any help or advice much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi

At last I can post, been trying to get approval since November

In many ways though I am sure it worked out well because all of my noob questions have pretty much been answered by searching the forum by now.

My main remaining issue though is that I would like a ZX Spectrum emulator on my Zaurus.

Before I got my SL-C3200 I had a Sony Clie UX-50 which unfortunately didn't have a decent Speccy emulator for various reasons. I thought that the Zaurus would be ideal with it's decent keyboard and great screen but I haven't found anything really usable.

Does anyone know which Speccy emulator is the best or is it possible that someone could / already has compiled FUSE for Sharp ROM / Cacko.

I found FUSE installers for pdaXrom but it wouldn't install on Cacko.

The source is all here if anyone is interested:-

ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclai...se-0.7.0.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclai...um-0.2.2.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclai...ls-0.7.0.tar.gz

I don't think the last link is required but I have included it anyway.

I appreciate that it's a bit cheeky asking you guys to compile stuff that you may not want yourselves so I will pay GBP15.00 by PayPal to the first person who is able to compile a working version on Cacko.

Thanks in advance.
