Ubuntu / Help Installing Zubuntu 2.0 On Sl-c3200

I was able to get Zubuntu running from my SD card. Two problems so far:

1) A lot of key bouncing, meaning duplicate characters. Can I adjust this?
2) I can't get a wlan card to work with dhcp. I am trying my Linksys 802.11b cf card (WCF12) working. Flashing lights, but no networks in wicd and no IP address. I tried editing /etc/network/interfaces and adding my gateway and essid. I have fooled with ifconfig and iwconfig, but no joy. I tried setting wicd to use wlan0 and wifi0 both of which show via dmesg. I also found the post about changing permissions on dhcp in /etc/password to '0'. Cortez said it was verified as working so I must be missing something.

Any ideas.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Supported Usb Lan Dongle

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive USB LAN adapter that will work with pdaXrom/ii13? I want one that is supported in both the 2.4 and 2.6 versions. Smarter folks that I have tried to get the driver for my DM9601-based adapter working with no luck. I thought with the manufacturer providing linux drivers it would be easier, but obviously not. I would like to get a working USB LAN adapter before my next trip. Thanks.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Setting Up A Usb Nic

Meanie was good enought to compile the driver for my DM9601 based USB NIC. I have not set one up before. I imagine that I need to copy the driver to the appropriate location, then I think I need to add an entry to the file that lists all the NIC types to tell it to use my dm9601.0 driver for that type of nic. Help.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxii13 5.3 Ans Usb Keyboard

Just like the scroll mouse, I know my Fellowes USB stowaway keyboard was working. Before I just plugged it in. I tried the USB Keyboard app under system settings and it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any way tomake it work?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Xfce Under Pdaxii13 5.3 Anyone?

Looks like IceWM takes a bit too much tweaking. I tried running startxfce and actually got xfce running, but it was rotated and out of whack. If you are running xfce with pdaXii13, I would appreciate your sharing your configuration and what is working/not working. Thanks.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxii13 5.3 - No Right Click/tap

I can't seem to right out how to right click/tap with the stylus. i thought that I held the alt key (the one to the right of the Ctrl key) and tapped and that gave me a right click. However, no joy. I have restarted X and rebooted, but still no joy. When I plug in my USB mouse, right click works. Any ideas?

Accessories / Video Scan Device

I am wondering if some posts/threads were lost in the recent upgrades. I was pretty sure that within the last few weeks we discussed a device that laid over the screen and scanned the screen to TV. I think it was intended for PS2 or Nintendo. Seems like Antikx was in on the discussion. I have searched with every combination I can think of and looked through the folders, but no go. If it is still here and someone would provide a link, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / X11vnc Gui W/ Pdaxii13 5.2

I can run x11vnc from the command line and it works. When I use the x11vnc control gui and select start x11vnc, a terminal window labeled passwd pops up and then nothing, I can't connect. I assume that I need to do some configuration somewhere. How? Thanks.

Off Topic forum / Did Anyone Else Lose Money To Bitpass?

I got an email from them saying they were going out of business and that I had a week to make purchases and clean out my account. When I signed I found that last month they charged an "account maintenance fee" that cleaned out my account. Looks like a sinking ship taking all they can get. Anyone else get similarly stuck?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxii13 And Nfs

The only NFS package I found in the default feed was nfs-utils. I installed it, but still can't connect to an nfs share. I used the same fstab line as is working in my other boxes, but when I issue mount -a, it hangs forever. No errors, but no drive mapping either. Do I need another package or is this one not working? Thanks.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Udav Support In Pdaxrom?

I picked up a usb nic. When plugged in to the usb host, lsusb says:

oa46:9601 Davicom Semiconductor, Inc.

A little research says that this is a Davicom DM9601 device and is supported on the Z with OpenBSD using the udav driver. Is there a way to get udav support into pdaXrom? I looked in the file listing from the community page and didn't see anything. I have done some googling, but can't find any references other than openbsd. I probably should have done more research before I bought. Any assistance is appreciated.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Gpe-contacts + Import = Seg Fault

Like the subject says, I have installed gpe-contacts (and calendar, etc) and gotten it to run. However, when I tap the Import button, it seg faults and crashes. Is there a fix?
