Sharp ROMs / Irda Baud Rate
« on: January 12, 2005, 09:31:27 am »
Hi,
I'm currently trying to get my Z (running on Cacko 1.22) to talk to my Nokia 6310i via IR to connect to the Internet.
I read a posting here saying that the baud rate can be set from within the network settings. Is this perhaps under a different ROM flavour?
I've had a look at the file /etc/irda.conf which allows different baud rates for different devices to be set up. However, if this is the method of doing it, how does the Z know what device it's talking to if it needs to set the baud rate to talk to it?
By my recolection (from setting this on my now sold Palm) I need to set 19,200.
Can some kind soul please help?
Gav.
