I believe so. That looks like the base install for an akita. You will probably have to tweak some things, so that the hdd mounts and packages are installed to it.

I only have an akita, so my archived files won't help much.

perhaps someone else that has a spitz can share their files.

Software / Quasar Media Player Released For Sharprom And Pdaxrom

Thanks, but that menu pulldown is generated using the system font. Changing the skin won't affect it. There are too many things on it!

If you change the size of the font, then it will shrink the menu items, and then they will not wrap.

go to view=>decrease size

this will change the skin between modes (big, normal, small)

you can change the font sizes for these modes in the skin.ini file.

The Edit menu has too much stuff on it, it takes up the whole screen!

The onscreen graphics shown with mplayer are rotated

Pic as example?

I know that one of the 1st things that i do i decrease the size of the font, to make things fit better.

Yongguns Andromeda Debian works fine, but I don't know how to recalibrate touch screen.

ts_calibrate only gives: ts_open: No such file or directory.

Ubuntu / Can Boot Zubuntu From Sd But Not From Cf Card
« on: May 01, 2010, 03:36:25 am »
I know that zubuntu doesn't load the pxa2xx_cs driver at start, thus no love from the cf slot. Perhaps if you could get the cf driver to load sooner, it might work.

Software / Latest Zlib (sharp Rom)
« on: May 01, 2010, 03:25:06 am »
No worries, I know that it was clean, i looked at the files on my laptop first.
Problem is exactly as you say, they need to be gziped then renamed ipk.
Did that and it installed from command line. Also show up in gui.

I downloaded myself to check and my browser un-gzipped it when it shouldn't have. I suspect this is what happened to you.

Strange, it is possible that my browser did that, yet why would it not do that to other packages that i've downloaded?

In the last few months two (!) new versions of zlib were released.
1.2.4 quickly followed by 1.2.5. I almost didn't notice. The fixes are mainly
housekeeping so that it can be compiled for multiple platforms but 2
memory leaks were fixed. This makes it worthwhile to update to the latest version.

libz for Zaurus

I'm running 1.2.2, i tried to install in cacko thru the add/remove and thru 'ipkg install' and it doesn't work.
are these meant for the sharp/cacko rom or another distro? Cuz if so, I don't think that you have them packaged correctly.
They appear to be packaged for a debian based distro.

i use a 32GB cf card in my Akita
Is this under cacko, does brand of card matter, and did you have to install any special drivers?

works under cacko, debian (andromeda), ubuntu.
no
and no.

Just works, CF uses same drivers as IDE for the most part, so the distros don't care how big the CF gets b/c the architecture doesn't change. w/ SD the spec allowed up to 2gb, 4 if you used fat32, but that wasn't in spec. SDHC uses different memory addressing to so it needs different drivers. I suspect that CF could go as large as 128GB before there might be a problem with addressing.
