5x00 General discussions / Blinking power led?

This happens to me too, using the latest Cacko kernel on Sharp rom (5500). Didn\'t happen until I upgraded the kernel.
You can fix by disconnect from external power, On/Off the zaurus (i.e. suspend/unsuspend) then reconnect to external power. Almost always works I think.
Not sure what it means, e.g. is the battery actually charging if the light is flashing?
Otherwise no complaints about the cacko kernel.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Kernel For Sl-5500/5000d

For some reason I seem to have a different backup naming convention to the one Maslovsky mentions in his notes, 003-01-01-00-01.backup_SL5500-US-3.
I tried to put a .backup in my name but it won\'t accept \'.\' as a character.
Anyone have any ideas?
create a new empty backup, and see what suffix it gets.
check the suffix from a terminal, rather than a filemanager.
likewise do the rename from a terminal (\"mv <old> <new>\").

Please, make all the usual \"CF card flashing\" checks, such as your card is FAT16, zImage is the only file on the root of CF, it\'s named exactly zImage, etc.
What boot logo do you see? If ts\'s Sharp logo, kernel did not flash...
Try to flash zaurus with Ospack from Sharp and see if it works.
same happening here - boots with penguin, but then sits there. This is the 64-0 kernel. Is it unpacking the /home/ tar file? How long should I expect this to take?
My MMC card was already formatted to ext2, so I assume I don\'t need to fdisk and reformat...?

try not syncing the calendar. This allows me to sync the contacts/notes/todo with Outlook XP (2002) as Exchange client. Can\'t get calendar sync to work though.

I wonder if the problem is the lack of support for Outlook XP/2002 in this version of Intellisync? Is this a common factor in everyone\'s problems?

okay, I have a fix for some of the problems folk have seen. Having had the same problems as everyone else on this thread, I\'ve re-installed everything on the Windows side (XP Pro / Outlook XP). Same problem still...
BUT, I can get it to work partially - syncing of contacts works. I discovered by accident that the sync only fails when I have the sync of calendars selected. I can select Contacts, Todos and Notes and the Sync works!!
Also, in the log file I found on the PC in the (in C:Program FilesSharp Zaurus 2Intellisync for ZaurusPtTrace.log) I see this:

Right I think - time to clear everything down on the Zaurus side:
cd /home/zaurus/Applications/dtm
rm -rf *
Problem: Now Calendar and Contacts are bust on the Zaurus - they exit when you try to create a new item.
Solution: Reboot. Blank set of files get created in the dtm directory. Contacts and Calendar working again.
Still get the API problem though. Log file looks a bit different though. Looks like it might be a problem with Outlook XP now though:
