I suspect the best reason for having a G card for the Z is so that you can run your G router in G-only mode for best overall performance of all connected systems.

That is excatly why I want to run a G card on my router.

I didn't think tree explorer was in the Cacko 1.22 ROM - anyway I have installed the full version straight on and it works fine.

Not able to connect Z to PC as USB Mass Storage device.  Worked under Cacko 1.21 but now PC can't see either the CF or SD on Zaurus.  Is anyone else having this problem under 1.22 and how can I troubleshoot  this to determine what's wrong?

PC running Windows XP, SP2
I've just tried it and it worked on my C750. I wonder if this issue is specific to 760/860. Can anyone else confirm that USB storage is working/not working with C760/860 and other Z models?
It works fine on my C860 (with slim battery - not that this should make any difference) - I can read SD cards from my XP box with SP1  - I don't have a CF card to hand to try though.

Absolutly fantastic ROM - Thanks very much for the great ROM - It's leagues ahead of the old one.

The Support for the Socket rev G bluetooth card is great - my only question now would be: is the bluetooth card draining the battery the whole time it's in place? - is it possible to have a software 'switch' to turn Bluetooth on and off? - or perhaps make it automatic - so when you choose to make a connection via PPP to a mobile then it turns it's self on.

Guy

PS Thanks again for all your hard work.

I have a Socket card and I have to physically pull the card out and the insert it again after a resume - it then works fine.

What is the status of Cacko 1.22?  Any eta?  Thanks.
I'd say it's 80-90% ready. No ETA, but soon, I think.

I'm planning on sticking with Cacko 1.21b until the next release is available for my C860. I unfortunately bought myself a Socket rev G card off of ebay thinking I was getting a deal. From what I've read on these forums I'm not sure it's worth my time and effort trying to get it to work (I don't have a lot of time to try to get my devices working sadly). Should I sell/donate the card, or has anyone out there got a setup that works?

Your words of support are appreciated

-Daniel
I have that same card and it works fine - Sorry can't remember where on here but it does tell you how to get it working - the only thing that is vital is the fact that you need to pull the card and re-insert after resuming from suspend mode. Sometimes I have to do a search for available Bluethooth devices to re- pickup the phone (I have used successfully with SE T39, SE T610, SE K700i and Motorola V3 all using GPRS on UK O2 network- and roaming abroad from this network.).

for all your IM needs, you can use gaim.  It is best you find the homepage (I think it is a sourceforge page) because there are more than a few dependencies to install.
Ain't half a few dependancies your right but I've got that working thanks for bringing it to my attention - one more step closer to getting rid of my laptop! Now all I need is a serial port adaptor and a conversion for Sunnto Dive manager software from the PC so I can down my dives onto the Zaurus.......

Sharp ROMs / What would you like to see in Cacko 1.22 ROM?
« on: September 27, 2004, 03:03:10 am »
How about adding some form of Logon security - the current option is a bit limited - it would be nice to have a timeout option - i.e. when you suspend and then turn on again the password is not instantly required - maybe a suspension of 5 minutes or more before password entry is required when resuming the device.

Excellant thanks very much it now launches in QPDF2. As for finding the right post sorry I obviously didn't search the right way!

The only other problem I have is that everytime I load a pdf file it seems to create a xml file of the same name - why is this?
