Hi,

Thanks seculatrix. I signed up FWD and it works fine. I think it is a problem in sipphone.com.

Hi,

I tried kphone/pi 1.0.0. It started well. I can make a call to welcome@proxy01.sipphone.com and listen to the welcome message. However, when I tried the echo test (echo@...), I can only hear some noise echo from SipPhone.com.

I checked my CPU usage and found that kp/pi used 95%+ of my CPU. I guess I hear noise from sipphone.com because my Z is too busy to encode my voice. Anyone have the same problem? Do you have any solution to fix it? I am using a C860.  Thanks.

Jacky

You can use gtk2 terminals such as gtkterm or gnome-terminal. Take a look at this thread https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16217.

Updated gnomesword_2.1.1_armv5tel.ipk and gtkhtml_3.0.10_armv5tel.ipk to fix:
1. the crash on startup when there is no configuration data in .gnomesword
2. the crash when typing characters the studypad

Anyone download the ipks before this post should download and install these 2 packages again.

Should I expect this to work on my C1000 under Cacko?

What about JSword?

Thanks!  doc

I don't think it works with Cacko because it requires X and GTK. JSword requires JDK 1.4 but we don't have JDK 1.4 in Zaurus.

I read the following re. the C3000 here: [a href=\"http://www.daniel-hertrich.de/zaurus/zps/]http://www.daniel-hertrich.de/zaurus/zps/[/url]

# Jeode (evm)

# J2SE from Blackdown

      see also http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/custom.html#java

# installing the IPK:

    * tar -xzvf ..ipk
    * tar -xzvf data.tar.gz
    * mv j2re1.3.1 /usr/local/
    * ln -s /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/bin/java /usr/bin/java
    * ln -s /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/bin/armv4l /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/bin/armv5tel
    * ln -s /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/lib/armv4l /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/lib/armv5tel
    * ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.1-2.10.0.so /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3
    * chmod a+x /usr/local/j2re1.3.1/bin/java
    * STILL DOESNT WORK!
    * .......

Were it to work might jsword then run or are the versions of java incompatible?

Thanks!  doc
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=114348\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I think I told you that Jsword requires JDK 1.4. Your Blackdown Java is 1.3 only.

I compiled GTK2 password manager: gpass
You need to install libmcypt, libmhash and gpass ipks

I also compiled GTK2 address book: dlume

Enjoy...

what about GPE PIM?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110773\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Does it support CJK inputmethods (e.g. scim, gcin)?  Thanks!
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110787\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

It supports gtk-inputmethods, so if it works with gnome/xfce (or any gtk app) on your desktop it will work with gpe pim
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110830\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Will the packages in OZ website works for pdaXrom? Or I have to recompile them? There are some dependency on the packages.  Thanks.

I found a bug in BMP which caused a crash if you click the stop menu item, etc of the doclet icon in systray when the BMP window is hidden.

I fixed this bug and updated bmp_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk.

I'd say it will be a great liberation if the qt in pdaX is compiled with full im support...
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110724\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I have to say that it is good but I am not able to do this. I only want to spend time to do what (I think) I can do.

As a CJK user, pim/pi is a less than perfect solution as it does not work with scim.
What I do is open Abiword, type the stuff I need into it, then copy & paste (yes I know it's sad, but it works   ).
Yes, I know this too but it is not the way to go.

Wouldn't it be better to port skim instead?
Not really a good idea. Skim requires a patch to Qt3 or require us to upgrade to Qt4. It is not easy.

I am actively looking for GTK2 applications to replace it. However, I can't find any good apps on the Ineternet. Anyone have suggestions?
Evolution?

-- cheers
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110709\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Evolution depends on many many packages and these packages has dependencies on others. I don't want to go this way. I also worried about the performance of Evulation in Zaururs.

Anyone has suggestions on address book and organiser?

I already found a GTK2 password manage and it works fine. I need address book and organiser. I will post all of them together after I compiled them. Now, I need your suggestions.  Thanks.

oh but the bmp mixer doesn't work
need to use the OSS mixer
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110566\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

What do you mean by "bmp mixer doesn't work"? I don't find any "bmp mixer" in BMP.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110607\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

i mean the volumn control
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=110608\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

It works for me. Try Preference -> Plugins -> Output -> eSound Output Plugin
It will use ESD. Actually, I prefer to use ESD because ESD can mix sound (such as gaim) from multiple application together if they also output sound to ESD.
