6000 - Tosa / GPS and the 6000L

Somone help me out ( i have a SL6000 )

I got a socket rev f and socket bluetooth gps .. anyone knows how to set it up properly to work with qpegps [ it works with zgps after rebooting, able to fix my current postion]

here is my setting qpegps , config> arug -> -p /dev/rfcomm1  localhost  port 2947
running qpegps 0.9.2.1 pre and the data status window, it says gpsd .. gps Mp GMT signal received

I already did the following

modify and add the following to rfcomm.conf ( already have rfcomm0 for nokia 6230)
rfcomm1 {
# Automatically bind the device at startup
bind yes;
# Bluetooth address of the device - get from 'hcitool scan'
device xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx;
# RFCOMM channel for the connection
channel 1;
# Description of the connection
comment "Socket GPS";

both hciconfig and sdptool browse. returns good status of bluetooth cf card and found the network address of bluetooth gps... but i just cannot get them connected or set them up properly in qpegps

X/Qt / Xserver Shutting Down! Help

I typed in startx and it jump to the black meshed screen and quit itself .. here is what i get from terminal

I linked the two directory and then

I used Vim to edit .xintrc wtih
rxvt //&
//blackbox
i saved it
and then i tried to link xqt and x
but somehow there is no directory called X under my QPalmTop/bin

Hi Smuelas,

I followed the steps to install xqt and then I unpack debian from pokcetworkstation using winzip in windows and copy all the unpacked files into /debroot folder in flash card, then ithere are some problems for next steps

1) What if I don't have a file called  " .xinitrc " in /home/zaurus? I followed the steps...
2) how do you create a link between two diretories?

hey smooth,

I asked the same question many times and other people did so..
my school use imap4 + SSL and bunch of autheriation .( sigh.. carnge mellon double doulbe security)

I tried both kopiemail and qmail.. there is no way it will work.. i spent like several hours straight trying differenet combination

things i suggest you can do
1) if your school email can be browse throuhg broswer, use opera to get it
2) connect to unix server and download the file from there
3) install debian linux and thunrderbird.. i will be trying this after my finals are done.

somehow through uninstall of Opie mail pacakge, I got the blueZ to work but not bluetooth to work. How do you acutally connect to a nokia phone and model pool? I tried dunk -c mac address of the phone or use the bluetooth applet in the netwokr( which doens't allow me to conenct... it always push me to connec through wifi_

I did try that several times. It just never worked. Is there anyway you can check if your card is funciton properly? cuz I get the card off ebay and if it is not doing the job, I need to return it.

Hi Smuelas

I ended up picking up a 512mb cf card cheap from a friend for like $20 dollar since he is getting new SD digicams. I have been reading your insturciton page. I have some questions. I am prepared to learn now.  Sorry i ask really stupid questions.. i am a total newbie

1. Where is the "jvr" instructions .. I cannot seem to find it throughout the site
2. Which Xqt should i download ? There are several files with Xqt at the japan feeds site.
3. How do i format my CF card to use ext 2?
4. Do you use a text edito like what? to Modify --or write-- the file " .xinitrc

Hi

Could someone help me out here?

I install bluez-zaurus_2.3-2.4.18d_arm.ipk  and the bluetooth dialup applet. Howeever, I cannot get my Socekt rev F bluetooth CF card to work as my 6000.

The icon at the task bar shows up as CF1 not a bluetooth card icon.
If I type hiciconfig, nothing is printed. If I try sdptool broswer, it says " inquiring failed".
Here is the card info

3.3v 16-bit pc card
funtion 0:[ready]
product infor: " Socket" " CF+ personal network card"
mandif:0x0104, 0x009f

I also tried to delete bm3.conf... still the same
