We probably need some sort of infrastructure (svn, emaillist, bugtracker, etc.)
n/p to bring it up and manage as soon as there will be a team to use it

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Fixes For 3.5.4 / Tosa (6000 Models)

After a couple of false starts I have been able to really test the posted 2.6 kernel, and its very impressive.  Suspend and resume work grood and they are very fast.  This could be the bigest jump in functionality in my Z in a long while.  The only real show stopper at this point (that I have) is the resume for alarms.  Once that is done, I could use this everyday.

Its been a few months since the last image was posted, has there been any progress that would warrent posting a new alpha image?

Thanks
Todd

Zaurus - pdaXrom / New E-book Reader Software

da-x, i dont want to argue about the loading and parsing, and paging of big text/html/xml files, it's just my own expirience, i am a heavy ebook reader, 1-2 books per week
the color scheme, according to researches made, should not be b/w or w/b, it should be something like black on on light brown, this way the eyes are not getting tired, and as a heavy ebook reader i confirm it

do you really think reading the whole file into memory is a good idea? i read books 1M+ daily...
you'd better make it save the state on each update, like fbreader does

btw, dict is cool, what is on the backend?

6000 - Tosa / Sl-6000l Installation Cd

I just purchased a refurbished SL-6000L through amazon.com and love it. The only problem is that the installation CD was missing in the package. I have been trying to contact the seller and Sharp without any success. They (including sharp customer representatives)apparently don't know where to get it. Sharp website's download section for SL-6000L is accutally for SL-5500. I wonder if some owners can help me out by posting an ISO image of the installation CD for download? Thanks a million in advance!!!

i did it a few times in different ways, one option is to put downloaded compiled fonts, which will get you into troubles of rotations and sizes.
other is to compile own from any ttfs
and IMO the best is to put TTFs, it has some disadvantage of memory eating by not-shared glyphs, but if you dont put it as interface fonts, but only for texts rendering - you will not see the differese

'connecting' means USB? there is a problem, known, a dirty hack - try to bring up qtsamba *before* you plug in, sometimes it helps
overclocking you can do by clicking on the battery applet, or by echoing into proc fs entry
