It looks like it's the correct cable to me. The other type is more rounded.

From the beta2 Changelog:
Quote
hostap-drivers - LinkSys WCF12 moved to firmware config
If I am thinking correctly, that effects the planex card also. Not sure if it will work as easy in beta1. Let us know how it goes.

Using beta2, download http://www.red-bean.com/~proski/firmware/1.8.4.tar.bz2 and http://www.red-bean.com/~proski/firmware/primary.tar.bz2 then all you have to do is extract the two archives into /etc/pcmci/firmware and you should
be good to go!

It doesn't matter what kind of file it is.
As long as you know the URL for the file you want to download, open up a terminal, and cd to the directory you want the file in, and wget http://blabla.com/file.ext and it will download it for you.

Rhythmbox has stability issues. But when it works, it's great.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.23 Is Released

So, here's what I have: sl-c1000 running Cacko heavy 1.23. All works fine.
Question is: I have a 8gb Seagate CF microdrive formatted Fat32. All this works fine too. The microdrive properties when viewed under windows XP show it to be 7.44 GB, when I check it's size on the Cacko memory applet it tells me it's 7.79gb.
So, where are the "missing" MBites? "Show all files" is enabled in Windows XP by the way, so it seems there are no hidden files lurking around.

They're probably not missing, but measured in a different way. Just like a hard drive manufacturer calls a drive that shows up as 74 gigs and 80 gig drive, the way cacko and windows calculate the amount of gigabytes could be different. See how close the amount is in bytes, perhaps?

I'm having a similar problem, my c1000, after 6 months of abuse ,decides that it should be loose as well. It has play from side to side, but more so up and down. I will try some things mentioned here and report back.

The Sandisk Connect+ and Planex GW-CF11X both take a bit of mucking about to get to work, but they do work in pdaxrom. Hostap and (for the Planex card), doing some firmware junk is needed. There's a post somewhere about it.

When you hold OK and turn the power on, make sure that you have had the battery out for 5 seconds, and you have plugged the ac adapter in. That will bring you to the menu discussed in the trisoft.de manual.

Also, the Belkin usb ethernet adapter I have doesn't work. The Zaurus switches to USB host mode, but lsusb doesn't show it.

Reboot makes the card appear as 802.11b card, yet Network settings is unreliable, and still slow. I have sent you dmesg.
