Thanks a lot for your reply. For me it happens all the time. I am afraid that by me it is hardware related. By you it might be the light sensor for automatically changing the brightness.

Thanks a lot for your reply, and your testing. It happens with any app after I exit from standby mode. I had it with Youtube, Google Chrome (all in landscape mode). It could be also batch related.

I've experienced the same screen tearing, though it seems to only happen to me when waking the screen from standby (still on the lockscreen). Japanese PCB, US keyboard..

Thanks a lot. I also have the issue during startup when the animation starts. Did you also report it to Planet Computers? I don't know if it is hardware related or it can be solved trouh an update.

Cosmo Communicator - General Discussion / Belt cases for cosmo?

I received the leather pouch and it fits really tight on my CC. I also ordered the all-in one perk. But I received it in 2 deliveries.  First delivery contained my CC and USB-C to HDMI cable and past week it was the pouch and hub.

Dear all,

When my CC screen goes in standby mode, and I press on the Esc key, I see some screen tearing for a few seconds. This happens when there is notification for an app or even when an app is open. I have a standard PCB, with a French keyboard layout. Do your CC's have the same behavior? Please mention your PCB and your keyboard layout.

Greetings,
Niels

Thanks a lot for your replies. I have the issue all the time. A reset works for a brief moment. The strange this is when I close the lid the external screen works for a small amount of time. I always have installed the latest firmware upgrades.

You have also the 2 exposed USB-C ports, when you make a phone call in the rain, one will be exposed. Really sad to hear that about your CC. What also exist are USB-C port, audio jack protectors, so no liquid or dust can enter.

Hello,
On my CC my CoDi stays black. When I reset CoDi it works for some time. I have the standard PCB with French keyboard lay-out. I wanted to know if you also have the same issue. Please say also which
PCB you got.
Greetings,
Niels

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / USB-C

@Spook: I use the official Gemini USB-C to HDMI cable. I am going to test it with my TV. I am steel waiting for my dock and user guide. Of course also the pouch, but nobody has received it. Thanks a lot for your suggestion about the displaylink USB-C to HDMI  adapter.
@MonkeyControl and gymbo: I never had a smartphone which requires that a phone should be powered on before charging was possible. Even before I installed the firmware upgrades I was unable to charge from the RH side port. I hope that you will receive very soon your CC.I will verify if my cover screen is active. I must admit that I did my test after the cover firmware upgrade+other firmware upgrade.

On my CC the USB-C to HDMI Cable doesn't work, I don't get any image on my HDMI monitor (standard PCB). Also regular charging doesn't work at the right hand side. The charging I only tested when my CC was shutdown completely.

When I read the description on the Amazon website and on the website of the manufacturer:  it support QC which means quick charging and is a property technology for Qualcomm SOC's. The CC has a Mediatek SOC. Here you a picture that both USB ports can quick charge Qualcomm SOC's: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0016/4990...pg?v=1555590839

I own this fast charger : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33010081779...de96860f42a0-12 This is an original  fast charger from brand Doogee which sells smartphones with Mediatek SOC's.
