« on: August 20, 2011, 07:35:26 am »
Hello

Does anybody have the bittorrent client transmission lying around.  It was compiled by kkazakov13 but the feeds dissapeared long time ago.

   Thank you

I also come here and check the latest messages once a week.

saddly, my Zaurus has been in a drawer for many months.   Lately,  I've been thinking into turning it into a torrent downloading machine,  will post about it when I start.

Ubuntu / How Do You Input Function Keys?
« on: April 19, 2009, 03:33:17 pm »
Yes,  I have those lines in xmodmap.  I'm using that Jaunty zubuntu install.

I've even tried to put "F10" at those positions on all the number keys,  unsuccessfully.

Finally.  I had to map it to the right shift key.  But of course I can only access F10.   Unfortunately,  openMSX on the zaurus is too slow to be usable at the moment.

I guess Xbindkeys has something to do with this problem.  But even if I kill it,  function keys still don't work.

Yes,  changing standard letters work perfectly.

I supposed that pressing "Fn" + 1-0  would send F1-F10,  but it doesn't.   Is that the correct key combination?

Thanks

I need to press F10 for entering a program option (openMSX),  but I'm lost.  I've tried modifying keymaps and modmaps with no luck

I haven't found the way either witht the zaurus keyboard or an external USB keyboard.

  Any clue?

Go to this site :

http://trisoft.de/en_c1000howto.htm

and follow the instructions in the section :  In case a backup won't work (and only then !)

That should restore the zaurus to an usable state.

and deleting the second line with "Compact Flash", "Bluetooth Card",......

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Bluetooth In R198

actually, with SP8 installed, all that is set for you automatically...

/etc/rc.d/init.d/bluetooth start or stop will do the trick
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=163640\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

That isn't working for me.  I still had to enter those commands for it to work.

There are two entries for "Compact Flash", "Bluetooth Card", "", "" in bt-uart.conf  ,   could that be the reason?

It is working for me here with a Sitecom Compact Flash Bluetooth adaptor.

  Installed r198
  Installed SP8
  inserted card
  setserial /dev/ttyS3 baud_base 921600
  hciattach -s 921600 /dev/ttyS3 bcsp

Then you can use hcitool scan,  etc.

  Thanks for your help!

SIMpad forum / Simpad Sl4 Replacement Screen
« on: June 07, 2007, 01:32:24 pm »
I did exactly that,  put a WP50 screen in a SL4.   It works fine,  at least for 1 year or so ,  when it developed the same problem i had with the original touch screen,  completely innacurate,  with strange cursor jumps.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / D-link Dcf-660w With R198

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what's wrong with my card,   hope you can help me.

  I have a SL-C1000 with r198 installed and Meanie's SP4 applied.
I define all the network settings before plugging in the card as wlan0.

when I plug it in,  it connects fine for some 30 seconds and then disconnects.  from that point,  nothing makes sense to me.

sometimes it shows up with lspcmcia/pccardctl,  sometimes it doesn't.

many times,  the screen turns white until I unplug the card.

lsmod shows that orinoco, orinoco_cs, hermes, hostap_cs, hostap all are loaded.

in /sys/bus/pcmcia/drivers,  there are hostap, ide_cs and orinoco subfolders.

there are only three files in /etc/pcmcia/    shouldn't there be a lot of .opts files there?

Here's a part of my dmesg after pluggind the card

Again,  sometimes it works fine for 15-20 minutes and suddenly the light turns off.

I've tried to trace the problem,  but, in my ignorance,  nothing makes sense to me.

  Help!

TIA
