General Discussion / Does the C860 have SDIO?
« on: December 09, 2003, 09:47:03 pm »
Before you guys get all worked up, there\'s something you should look into.  I recall reading in one of the forums that Sharp didn\'t bother to connect the unused pins on the SD slot.  If this is really true, even if you find an SDIO driver, it won\'t work on the Z.

Wasn\'t that on the C760 and not the C860?

Software / Syncing with Lotus Notes
« on: December 09, 2003, 05:33:10 pm »

Okay, don\'t tell me I\'ve been waiting all this time for 2.0 of NotesSync, and now I need to put Opie on my Z....

How would you like to see a couple of hundred hours of work shot?
Actually I stopped work on v2 last month when I found IBM has a module for  Websphere Everyplace that uses SyncXML to sync the zaurus to Lotus DOmino or Exchange. AccessClient loads SyncXML, DB2 and PIM interface on the Zaurus.  I just need a spare server for Websphere Everyplace to test it out.

That kills the enterprise market and now Sharp kills the consumer market.

Everyplace syncs directly with the server but the server has to be available on the internet or else you need a VPN client on the Z also. Can these PIMs work on the X11 ROM?

Sash.....whatever PIMs you use, please add support to sync with Lotus Notes. This will kill my investment if I cannot get it to sync with Lotus Notes. Thank you.

Can anyone confirm if the C860 has an SDIO drive?
