Thanks.  Korg is best thing on my zaurus except keyboard and maybe opera7.  It would be even better IMHO with a snooze feature in alarm (like Palm and pocketpc) and some customization for the zaurus of the view that has the calander/to do and agenda on one page.  For example, an autohide feature for the menu that begins with ME.  Anyplace for paypal donations to support Korg.  Thanks again

Is there GPS software specific for the Japanese market.  Other linux / zaurus GPS software works for telling you where you are on a map but not computing directions.  I heard Sharp was coming out with a GPS service with directions specifically for the Japanese zaurus market.

Oops forgot to login.  Guess Korg has its work cut out organizing me.  I also own a samsung i330 palm phone.  What a contrast.  In the past month i\'ve doubled the speed (preemptive patch), improved browsing significantly (opera 7) got a $30 wireless card (symbol ebay) that i can suspend and turn back on thanks to the latest Sharp ROM upgrade.  In the meantime my palm phone has crashed on average weekly needing to restore all applications / data from backup. Oh well, i read on another board about \"shrapnel\" from exploding kyocera palm phones (defective battery).  Gives new meaning to the idea of linux being more stable.

What would be the easiest way to migrate my Sharp 3.3 PIM data over to Korganizer.  I intellisync with palm desktop on xp but would like to get the data to suse linux deskop korg.  Eventually i\'ll try unison for syncing but being a relative linux newbe i wanted to start with something easy (somebody needs to write a zaurus for dummies).  I assume korg on the zaurus stores the file somewhere where i could copy and move it to wherever it needs to be for the desktop korg.  Thanks

You won\'t go wrong with either zaurus or HP.  I got the 1945 for my wife.  Fabulous value.   A commodity pricing model (software notwithstanding) is great for the consumer. I put some of my photos on both simultaneously.  Yes the HP screen is brighter but be aware it has a serious flaw in overemphasizing blue.  I have seen that mentioned in several reviews but it is really striking in comparing photographs. On the Z for some reason sharpness is not as good comparing photos.  Could be some setting I do not have right.    

In terms of the size factor there is no denying the Z is close to being a brick I\'d be afraid of my wife throwing it at me.  Luckily, she would never carry something so heavy.  But besides the keyboard, Sharpe is known in the industry for quality durable products whereas the HP feels fragile to me. Iguidance is a killer ap for ipaq that also works on windows notebooks.  While zaurus / linux has GPS you cannot get a program with verbal directions that corrects as soon as you make a wrong turn.  It almost opened using WINE (I have a dual boot laptop with Suse and XP).  Good luck choosing between two great PDAs.

So I am still thinking about returning my Zaurus and just getting the IPAQ 1945 and running the evil Mircosoft OS. I really do not like how big the zaurus is and how dim the screen is. Anyone have any opinions/comments on this? Thanks, Brad

I have a 5600.  I was shocked at how fast you can type using two thumbs.  What an improvement over palm.  Curious if those who have had both 5000 series and 700-800 series feel the latter is much better for typing.  Someone kidded me about multitasking in that with the 5600 I can type in notes while walking.  Does the clamshell shape enable you to hold the device and finger type while standing also.
