As an update to the last one, do you know anything about the WEP bug in the Network Wizard GUI?  I am using tkcRom, and I read that it has a bug where it doesn\'t always write the right WEP keys?

It\'s hard to find info on it..  :/

Aye I have tried that a couple times, and it also randomly works then.

It\'s a really weird situation.  At first it worked out of the box and all was fine and dandy, and then just random it stopped working on one Zaurus and it worked fine on my other Zaurus..

I appreciate the help though

1)  Yup, all that matches up.
2) In range yes, but it won\'t get past the \'initiatizing\' part.  That\'s where it just continues blinking non-stop.

I have 64 bit Encryption set using WEP.

oks so i posted before but got no response, so i thought maybe ill try one last time in hope someone can maybe help me

i\'ve looked everywhere, and i still cant find the answer..  my zaurus won\'t connect to my wireless network, even if i put in all the right information and tell it to go..  i have 2 5600\'s, and one is running tkcRom and the other is the Sharp Rom that came with it..  the sharp one will connect every once in a while, while the tkcRom rarely..  other wireless devices work fine, but the zaurus\'s dont

if anyone could please help i\'d appreciate..  it\'s at the point where i almost wanna just return or sell these cause i dont want to deal with the hassle anymore.. i love how they have linux, but i kinda just wanted this as a toy and the pim\'s are just a handy feature.. if i can\'t get on the wireless network, it loses a good chunk of value to me..

but anyways, if someone could please help, i\'d really appreciate it.. thanks

I think it\'s because I am missing my dhcpd.conf file in the /etc folder.

Is there any chance someone could post their copy of this file for me?

I\'ve tried searching all over and I can\'t find what\'s wrong.

Yesterday, my WiFi card on my Zaurus 5600 was working perfectly fine.  It connected and all was well.  Then it randomly just stopped working, and I have no idea why.

All is set up fine.  I even ended up reflashing completely to no avail.  I tried the card on the other Zaurus 5600 and it wouldn\'t work there either.  It\'s an AmbiCom WL1100C card.

I thought maybe it\'s the router, so I tried one of my USB Wireless plugs in my computer and that one connected fine.

Has anyone ever had this problem before?  It says \'Initiating\' and the green light turns solid on the WiFi card, but then it stops there.  I\'m thinking maybe it\'s a DNS problem?

I have 2 5600\'s, and one is a fresh barely touched sitting next to me.  If someone could point me in the right direction to a good tutorial on how to make a NAND Backup I could make one out of the fresh 5600.  It\'s also one with the PXA255 processor, so maybe someone with the PXA250 processor could get one also?

1/2:  I\'ve been having the same problems.  I can\'t figure out what it is.  What kind of wireless card do you have?

I\'ve noticed that my card will be running perfectly fine, and I\'ll disconnect from my Apartment lan and run kismet, and then after that things get all screwed up.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if microdrives work with the Zaurus?

I was looking at this:

and for a 4 gig microdrive (you gotta pull it, but still) for only ~200 bucks, I\'d be more than happy.. but I dont know if it\'d work.

hey was wondering if anyone could help me..  i have an sl-5600 zaurus and i\'m trying to install wellenreiter onto it, and i have the zynergy5600 rom on it..  i am trying to install from the console using ipkg-new because apparently ipkg doesn\'t like it, but it says that it has dependencies of libc6 and libqte1.. well, they\'re both installed as far as i can tell, and i even tried reinstalling libqte1 but it says there already is a file in its spot and to remove that first..

has anyone successfully gotten wellenreiter to work on the 5600?

woah sorry, didnt mean to offend anyone

i just got my zaurus like 3 days ago and i\'ve seen a ton of websites down, and after speaking to one of my friends who has owned a zaurus for a while he said they might stop that\'s all

and the last stable release i can see is 3.2, but i cant find it for the 5600.. that\'s the only reason i said 3.2

anyways, thanks for the replies.. i haven\'t coded c or asm in years or else i\'d try and help you out.. maybe one day
