C1000/3x00 Hardware / Keyboard Replacement For Zaurus C-1000
« on: January 07, 2009, 05:04:27 pm »

I have a problem with my C1000 keyboard. Some keys do not work. I have to press hard several times on those faulty keys to make it react. I disassembled C1000 and found the flexible film keyboard inside which need to be cleaned (i tried without much success) or replaced. I wonder where can i order the replacement for it online? Tried most obvious sharp urls without any success.

Thanks for any answers

compiling on my Z terminated with lots of errors. Do you have a compiled version of passkey-agent?

Try this link:

i use the following way to start it up in andromeda

/etc/init.d/dbus start
start-stop-daemon -S -b -x /bin/passkey-agent -- --default 1
hciconfig hci0 up piscan class 0x520104
rfcomm release rfcomm0
rfcomm bind rfcomm0
pon provider

Here 1 - my pin, passkey-agent you can find there This was the crucial moment to make it work.

It works fine for my nokia.

C1000/3x00 Hardware / Nand Backup/restore On Cf Problem
« on: July 15, 2008, 08:42:41 am »

My C1000 doesnt want to do NAND backup/restore on CF PQI 512mb card (formatted in FAT16). Every time i try it says smth like 'Can't initialize CF'. Although NAND backup/restore works perfectly to/from SD and CF card works too without problems in cacko/debian and ever more - C1000 successfully flashes from this CF card too (i've installed younggun kernel this way). I have currently no other CF cards to test.
So is there anything i can to to make Z backup/restore NAND on this CF ?

The trick from #12 does not work for me neither with epiphany-gekko nor with epiphani-webkit

Debian / Dualbooting/multiplebooting With Kexec!
« on: July 13, 2008, 05:17:32 am »
I have the same problem as linx has.  But i have C1000, installed andromeda rootfs on SD and younggun's SD booting kernel over the working cacko in NAND. And have 'Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.' and the end of CACKO booting with kexec -e.

I've compiled latest midori from sources. It starts fast but... has no url box... So i have nowhere to type in url. The only way to run it is to put google as home page.  I did a quite straightforward building - download, untar, configure, make... Na magic done. So i wonder if its the midori known behaviour or the issue of the build process.

Seems i solved the problem with

Debian / Bluetooth Under Debian Eabi

I cant get BT worked in eabi. I did all the steps from the first post and when i do 'pon provider' my phone (nokia 6310) asks about passkey, i enter the same passkey from hci.conf and then my nokia displays 'Connecting' progress bar forever. I use BT USB dongle. The very same hardware (phone, usb bt, zaurus) works fine in cacko, so i suppose its not hw problem.

hciconfig hci0 prints 'UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN' as it should. RX, TX error counters both zero.

The same BT binding problem i got immediate if i do 'rfcomm connect' instead of rfcomm 'bind', so i believe it is the problem with BT connection itself, not gprs/ppp issue.

Any suggestions ?

About epiphany browser (epiphany-browser and epiphany-webkit). I've tried it and found out quite fast and nice if not the one problem - it cant save files to disc.  I press ctrl-shift-s or press 'save as' File menu item and nothing happens - no dialog, no file on disc. Also when i try to download torrent file it wont suggest to save it, but display its contents in current window. But the same time other browsers i tried do ok (and mime config files seems ok too).
Anyone faced this issue before ? Any suggests to solve it ?
