I did'nt install it on my 1.0.5 just because i did'nt want to reconfigure everything i had set up, but the new... egh, what version will it be by the way ? 1.1 ? 1.0.6 ? Anyway this new install will be the occasion for it.

On a c750, you definitly don't have enough space and i don't use the /home : my cf is larger and i can access it even if my z is out of power...

Zaurus - pdaXrom / prboom in landscape mode

take a look at the prboom project home page. I used to play free dom full screen AND landscape mode with something like -x 600 -y480 (or 640x400... This must be the good one!)

But the full screen mode is far less smooth than the "windowed" one.

Sharp ROMs / Word processor for Cacko / XQT

Whit : abiword works REALLY fine under pdaxrom. No need for 800*600 screen. It fits just fine.

I would be  very interrested in an answer to this question, as the lack of REAL word processing tool under QT is the main reason why i left QT to X.

I say REAL because :
- Abiword has sometext enlightment possibilities (text on the left or right, centered...)
- " has a correcter
- "  is compatible with MSword ans Open office
- does'nt delete my documents when i have to reset !!!!!!!!! (happened MMMMMMMAAAAAAANNNNNNNNYYYYYYY times with Ham com !!!!!!!!!!!!!)

So, any idea to use ANYTHING else than it is welcome.

I\'ve been using pdaxrom 1.0.5 for weeks now, so i don\'t know about QT rom but as far as i am concerned, i can use abiword for about 5 hours with minimum screen light (it\'s a better power life than many laptops...). I think it is quite a high poxer consuming activity so i guess your pb may come from your music player.

Plus, i noticed (i\'m not the only one) that mp3 playing gets the Z on it\'s knees. Maybe the pdaxrom team should check there code and see if there is no possible improvement. (I wish i knew how to help them, but i don\'t...)

Jusy in case you woulld not have enough work to do with this new rom :wink: , i would like my favrite rom to be just as easilly internationalisable as any qt rom : different keyboard layouts easilly accessible via ipk would be appreciated for exemple.

I know vi can help anyone doing this, but  i  don\'t feel faire this rom to be \"geek english speaker only\".

And i really like the idea to have different Expert/Normal user rom available.

Cette modification permet d\'uttiliser les touches japonnaises qui ne servent à rien dans la xrom (donc Cxxx users only) entre Fn et -. La gauche permet de faire les accents aigus et les circonflexes si elle est associée à Shift sur n\'importe quelle voyelle (attention : il faudra surement installer les fonts qui ont les accents français !!!) et la touche droite fait les accents graves (cédille si +Shift).

Merci donc à Zazz pour son aide très précieuse ainsi qu\'à PsionX pour ses quelques éclairecissements sur ce qu\'il était possible de faire.

Note : the modified keys are keycode = 129 & keycode = 130. They are the two japaneese keys that allow to draw accents on any vowel (depending on fonts) or to write the \"ç\" like in \"français\" with \"Shift + [right_japaneese_key]\" and then \"c\".


I think such a xmodmap file can be interresting with or without eviLjazz\'s script as it does\'nt change anything for english usage.
