Laze : what is 9.1 ? the corrected version of RC9 you released a few days after a first "improper" release, or another brand new one ? I flashed RC9 (second edition) on my 750 last monday, what are the differences between those two versions ?

I don't use lyx, so don't ask for it.

I'm sorry to ask for this, but any luck Lyx might be cross compiled for the Z ? It's so much easier to create latex files with it...

The exportation module is of course very important in this prog; but maybe (i even don't know if it's possible) we could deal without it, at least at first time. Procucing .lyx files on the Z and then exporting them to pdf on a PC would be not that bad...

But of course, a fully fonctionnal lyx installation would be the best !

I'm so sorry i'm not able to cross compile anything, but is there any volunteer ?

yeah, thanks pgas... I know about your previous thread, and it works really fine.

The point is that some of the VLC users on several OS have met this audio transcoding pb and partially solved it in different ways (runnig VLC with a priority "behond normal" for example on Win2K or muxing on the recieving post several streams... ). I just wondered if a pdaxrom user had solved it a way or another because i have not been able to do it.

Hello everyone...

Has anyone of you been able to stream a DVD to your zaurus ? There seems to be a pb with transcoding a52 dvd audio files. The bug is already submitted to VLC's developpers, but i wonder if by any chance someone had found a solution here ?

Hi Sam Hell.

I think you should post this in the windows related section of the forum, it's quite a specific question.

I never tried it but i guess it will require your usb to be set as a serial device (see in the usb configuration tool on the Z)...

i had tried quite a long time ago to launch a corgi.xmodmap file collection but it did not wok.

 Maybe we should launch it once more and, why not, have some ipks availiable. I think Cacko rom has some thing like that... it would be very interesting for those who, like me, use their Z as a word processing tool !

yeah, sashz, that was him... I addmitt i've sent lots and lots of messages on the irc but it was just becaue i was really affraid i may lose my zaurus right when i needed it for professional use... I needed some help but this rude guy wasn't able to understand such a thing...

I think it means that the default gateway is already set up, does it ?

Craig : your network diagram is absolutely riht, i should have described it that way !
You say that the Mandrake may not be setup to forward traffic ? I think the solution is more in this way, but the thing is that it had been working for quite a lot of time before it stopped...

I use the Drakconf (gui) to configure everything on my mandrake. I did evrything that had been necessary on the first time, but it didn't work. I am not good at command line, so i have not been able to adapt the different how tos i've found here and there...

Hi cvmiller !

Perhaps I am not understanding, but what is the ppp0 interface used for? I see eth0 as well as usb0, and then there is the ppp0 with an interesting address on it (83.115.133.65)

the point is i use a USB Sagem fast 800 modem to access the internet (ADSL). This modem doesn't work properly with mandrake (and linux in general...) so i use the Eagle USB driver which is the only way to have it work.

I don't precisely know how nor why, but this driver creates a "fake" eth0 (i have no ethernet card on my pc and when i get this interface down, i have no internet access anymore) but to me the most important interface is ppp0.

Your default gateway is via the 83.115.133.65 address right now.

It just doesn't work, plus it used to work with the usb0 adress (192.168.129.200).

Do you know if there is a way to completely reset the networking configuration under mandrake 10.0 ? Is used to work, it should work again !

Only 78% used space after a flash !
The only strange things that happened was the z not automatically rebooting during installation,but i guess it's not important.

Sorry but i give up... the maintenancekernel flashing messed my Z so much that it needed  a nand restore ! Plus i was on my own as i've been kicked from #zaurus irc by someone (i won't say who, i don't like that sort of thing) who thought i was wrongto be worry about this precious and expensive tool that i use EVERY day for my studies, and especially tomorrow...

Dear hine, could you precise how you manage to modify your partition ?

Dear pdaxrom : could the maintenace kernel updating process be integrated in Katherin Official ?

hine : this is something i did when i used RC3 but i reverted back when i flashed RC5 because it didn't work on my750.

Now, i'l tryinng to flash RC8. I putted updater.sh with mdpart and mdtweak (from the new installer on the first page of the post you point to) wih the files from pdaxrom rc8.

Yet i have no "option 4 : update the 750 kernel" i used to have in the modified installer.

Did you flash your kernel with the RC8 version of pdaxrom ?

UPDATE :

Oki, i tried with the 1.05 version, and it doesn't change anything. It must come from thhe installer. A bit down in he thread (page 2) Ashley deals with a specific installer for the 750 but the attachment isn't here anymore.

Does anyone have this file ? the new_installer-0.3.tar.gz ?
