Qtopia Desktop 1.7 from Trolltech works with OZ 3.5.3 Opie and windows (wirelessly at least).

Just make sure you set up how you want to connect in the File>Settings>General tab.

X/Qt / Debian with Xqt

I installed the X/Qt on my C3000, and want to run pocketworkstation. But when click then startx icon, the Xserver screen just flash then disapper, I get the message in the terminal:

This happend to me too.  I downloaded the new version and then everything worked fine.  Maybe you have some corrupt files?

Why aren't the default fonts a bit larger? Or at least there should be some larger fonts installed by default.  I use opie-reader a lot and it is painful even with the biggest preinstalled tiny fonts.

There is no obvious way to make the microscopic tray icons bigger.  It is just about impossible to
 tap the right one.

I didn't see it in the release notes either, but I did see this post (just over half way down) whiched helped me.

Try running it from the console and see what error you get.  Just type in konqueror as the program name.

Software / Kino2 0.4.2 Is Out

Is it just me or both Opera and Netfront bug out when trying to access the kino site on a zaurus?

Opera worked fine for me but Netfront was !!! (wacko)

It is under file(?)-prefrences-security.  There is a box to enable javascript and some other stuff too.

I think some javascrips crash it.  Try turning javascript off and going to those site.

General Discussion / Elsi - Was Killefiz.de/zaurus A Better Format?

The ELSI site is a work in progress that has some bugs (as all unfinished projects have).  The creator (dz) has been very busy lately and I am sure when things settle down some he will continue to improve the site (put the new background on, etc.)  Hopefully the ELSI site will (although Killefiz.de was great) become better than the last.

Now with the broken links issue it is up to the community to submit a report!  There are hundreds of projects and it would be nearly impossible to find them without your help so if you see a broken link or windows software PLEASE REPORT IT!!!!!

Sharp ROMs / File Manager

Try useing zeditor to modify it.  It's a very easy to use, free text editor.  Just open it through the program and edit away

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Opera 7.3 Woes

It seems that no matter how I attemp to run Opera 7.3 I get a bus error when I execute it.

Any ideas?

Try re downloading/reinstalling it.  Usually when I get a bus error it is because something was wrong with the file.

Try doing this as root instead of installing libncurses5
