C1000/3x00 General discussions / News About My C3000
« on: September 11, 2005, 01:16:38 pm »
meanie - any idea yet if you'll be able to send it in for warranty repair/replacement?  who did you buy your 3000 from?  I had a screen problem with my 760 once and I just sent it to dynamism (where I bought it) and they took care of fixing it.

If you end up having to replace your Z yourself, I'd be happy to help donate as well.

Keep us posted!

You're not likely to find your answer on these forums.  Here you will find linux and open source advocates, and suggestions on how to extend such on their zaurus (and other devices).

Sorry for any troubles.

OpenBSD / Should Openbsd Link To This Forum On The Z Page?

If you chose No or Maybe, please elaborate or post a suggestion. I'm pretty sure that the openbsd.org/zaurus.html page linking to this forum would be OK with the webmasters of oesf.org. Offroadgeek - any comments?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=93641\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Any linking to/from the bsd site is fine with me.

I will also look into a "mailing list mode" option for the forums.  I know there are a number of people who would prefer that option.

General Discussion / Read Forums Offline On The Zaurus?

See, httrack creates an exact mirror of the web site's structure on your hard drive.  It also supports updating a site with minimal redownloading.

Heh... let's see how long it takes and how much space it will take to mirror these forums (with nearly 100k posts).

I'm working upgrading the forums which will provide a nice RSS feature for people to enjoy.  Hopefully I'll get it all upgraded by next weekend.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / When Is Openzaurus Going To Be Ready?

Oh and dont complain unless your going to volunteer and help.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=91938\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

So, basically, only programmers should be using OpenZaurus?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=91941\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
No, people who enjoy OpenZaurus over other ROMs should use it.  I haven't used OZ my 5500 in some years now, but that's because I haven't used my 5500 at all since I got my 760 some years ago, so I can't comment on the stability for that version.  I'm currently using the hentges ROM on my 1000 and I love it.  It is plenty stable for me.  Keep in mind that the 1000 was released not that long ago.  Yes, there are a few quirks and it's not perfect... but I'm looking forward to helping improve the ROM, simply by my testing and feedback.

I am not a developer... I can barely edit the interfaces file without f'ing something up or looking up proper examples on the web.

For a part time hobbie project, I think OZ/OE has made huge progress over time, and I hope this project continues indefinitely!

General Discussion / Streamline Support To Zug
« on: August 21, 2005, 12:17:50 am »
Just so everyone knows, 100% of the  money received from this partnership will be used to support the development teams, most likely in the form of hardware.

Also it's good to know that coredump on the OE team received a new akita (C1000) thanks to the support of streamline and trisoft.  Both Stephen and Marc are a pleasure to work with.

And thanks to coredump for the great henteges rom!

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Keep Pdaxrom Alive

Sorry I missed this thread until now...  I've just donated $50 and will do so each month going forward.  I'm hoping to be able to increase that soon, but we've been living off of one income since moving to Minnesota.

Keep up the great work guys!

P.S.  I vote no on the committee idea

Site Suggestions, Requests, and Updates / Create An Openbsd Rom Forum?

12 Votes YES so far... how many votes do we need and who do we need to talk to to make it happen
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=92191\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Most people just ask for a new forum to be created in the "Site Suggestions, Requests, and Updates" forum... but I guess a poll and nagging works just as well

I've created the forum, moved this topic to the correct forum, and made you moderator of the OpenBSD forum.

5x00 General discussions / Some Programs Not Running On 3.13 Rom

Hi everyone.  I just recently got a zaurus and I flashed the 3.13 ROM on it.  I am having certain problems though. some programs when I install them and try to run them simply will not open up.  I have idea what that could be.  I was also wondering if it's at all possible to flash the OpenZaurus ROM without a cf card but with an sd card or throught pc.  Thanks in advance everyone.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=91901\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
I would be helpful if you let us know which specific programs you're having troubles with, and you could also try to launch the programs from the terminal and post the errors you get here.

Can anyone give a link for an upgrade from win CE 3.0 to winCE 4.1 (English version)?

All I can find are broken links

This forum is for OpenSimpad (linux on simpad) support, not for win ce support.
