I can't see any signs of that on my 6-week-old Gemini…

I had wear on mine. I've reported it to Planet and they will investigate with the factory.

Planet have indicated there will be two big announcements tomorrow.... let the speculation begin!!!

- acquired rights to use the Psion name - making the comeback complete?

Observations so far
- comes in at around 116 Meg
- you can keep the app bar 'always on now' without it intercepting every keystroke - yay!
- Bluetooth seems to be a lot more robust. Automatically turns on when you boot up your Gemini.
- Google Assistant appears to be working when the device is closed - I will reboot a few times just to test it more thoroughly - so far so good
- No new apps as far as i can see
- No new issues to report so far

Issue
Google Assistant doesn't respond after the latest firmware update, until the screen is opened

Resolution
Uninstall Assistant from Google PLay, re-install it and go into app settings and clear cache.

Hopefully, it should work after that..

No go for me. I can't uninstall the assistant - it doesn't appear in settings->apps (even with system turned on). I did download the latest assistant, but it kept wanting to update the google app. I can't find that one in yalp, so again, no go

That's really strange. Maybe you need to update your google services in the Play Store??
Google Assistant is just an application so appears in my app folder. So far, 24hrs later the clear cache fix is working on my Gemini.

Try deleting the cache for google assistant. It worked for me.

Had caps lock stuck again this morning. Seems to happen when opening the Gemini from a closed/sleep state. Haven't figured out what causes it yet.

Reboot is the only thing that fixes it.

Yeah seems to be when it's been inactive for a while. Sometimes I notice google assistant is on when I open the screen with the letter 'z' in the search box. It's bizarre.

Alt+tab also triggers capslock for some reason.  could be related to those keys being pressed when the screen is closed.  hopefully that gets addressed, whatever the cause.

I'll strip the keyboard back and re-seat them just in case it's the screen closing is causing it.

It may be related to key ghosting as has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum, however for me it happens after I've used certain apps e.g. dosbox. A reboot makes the behaviour go away for a while.

I think this is a new bug in the latest firmware - seems to happen more when Google assistant comes up.

A feature I really loved about my Psion 5mx was the option to keep the screen on if the power cable is attached.

I've found an app called Screen On in the Play Store, which does this very thing. Very handy!!

Has anyone started to have an issue recently with CAPS lock turning on automatically,sometimes after a screen closure? It started happenign occassionally on my device.

I'l check my keys to make sure it's not somehow pressing Fn and Tab and activating it, but wonderedif anyone had seen this post firmware update?
