Cosmo using the Mediatek P70 with "Linux Support"

Is linux really supported or will it be the same half assed linux userland with android kernel that can't be updated?

Given the state of Linux on the Gemini I'm not hopeful.

Maybe fully supported by the upstream linux kernel!

Just to report, June delivered Gemini has x25 and no eSim in it. I bought it from the store rather than from Indiegogo so its a bit odd there are still xx25 models being delivered.

Ive not played around with the Debian TP but my understanding is that you'll need to compile a kernel with module support, or compile the driver into the kernel itself. I'm not sure why this isn't the case by default but I'm sure someone here can explain in more detail.

Warm regards

From what I can see there isn't loadable module support (run lsmod) on the default kernel provided hence why there are some device recognition issues, unless its compiled in its not supported.

Order ID UK1170 from the Planetcom store successfully delievered today, would have been last Friday but for Royal Mail issues.

Time to install Linux, squeee!
