Apart from that, you will find that the left bottom "menu arrow button" does not respond anymore if you change it to 600dpi.

So is there a workarround for the arrow button? I sure need that button or any other way to see all my apps. But i do like the 600dpi screen. Many of my frequent used apps perform way better.
Btw normaly i swipe up, but thats not working aswell.

Gemini PDA - Android / LTe T-Mobile Netherlands
« on: August 18, 2018, 10:46:38 am »
The first 3 days my G4 showed a 4G icon on top. Everything whas installed and then all of a sudden a 3G icon appears at the bar. Checking the setting it shows i only can connect to 2 and 3G. This puzzles me.
At T-mobile they told me that the phone wasnt a 4G phone, so i showed them the specs, then they said in the netherlands 4G was only on the 2100GHz band. Googling i found out that it should also work at the 1800GHz band.

Band 1: 2100 MHz
Band 3: 1800 MHz
Band 8: 900 MHz
Band 38: 2600 MHz

So i wonder, has any one set up 4G Tte T-mobile in the netherlands with the Gemini and how to do that?

Thanks for reading this...a complete noob

I installed it on my PC, my tablet and my phone and it works great, sync in the 50Mb cloud space that comes with the free version. This will be one of the first apps i will install. Very easy to use. Something i didnt find on other DBses i tried in the past weeks is you can protect each Db with a password.

Gemini PDA - General Discussion / Perk/Accessory delivery?
« on: August 02, 2018, 02:55:49 pm »
It looks like your order was delayed due to the US keyboard layout (for Europe) is currently out of stock. The good news is that we are expecting the model in question to be delivered to our UK warehouse by the end of this week. We will dispatch your order by early next week.

Got this today, after sending them a mail again

There was a web page where you put in your order number and keyboard choice. If you didn't do that then you get a default for your region, it seems the page has been taken down now so I guess it's all region default now unless you contact them.

I never saw that page, but i got this mail instead on 21-6:

Hi,

I am looking to ship your Gemini unit to you but as of today, I have no record of you having chosen a keyboard layout.

Please could you urgently complete the following form:

Over the years i had many different divices. From Pocket PC diveces to what ever there was on the matket. Call it a hobby. The best machine i had was the Psion Mx5 till the damn cable died. Putting it in the inside pocket of my jacket i had to compensate it with other stuf at the other side to get my jacket straight again (not my wallet, i'm poor), so i bought a purs and a bag for my psion and i was happy. That bag wich is a wallet as well contains my cards and money and soon i hope my G4. So bulky or what ever, it wil fit in there and lets agree thats its less heavy then carrying a laptop. I do hope they come up with a better agenda, like Psion had, and a good database. I would be realy happy if it would have something like OneNote. Best program those boys from MS ever developed. But thats my opinion.

Now i just wait till i get the machine....

Wow, seems nice. Photos are better than I expected.

Any photos how Gemini looks with camera addon installed? I did not bought camera addon because I did not want to ruin clean design of Gemini. But this camera seems to be good enough to take "documentation" photos (just inserting photos to some project documentation). Now is seems interesting.

Making me pull out the iphone or note...   Ill take a couple shots and post this afternoon.

Camera module add-on is no longer for sale at indiegogo.com ( I did not see more  ).
Maybe out of stock  or the  module  will be upgraded.

They seem to sell the camera here: https://pdaplaza.ca/products/external-camer...-for-gemini-pda

Gemini PDA - General Discussion / Android/Linux etc.
« on: June 05, 2018, 01:53:41 pm »
Ok i dont have my machine yet, but i'm reading the posts here and i get confused coss its not clear to me when the post is about Linux or Android (sometimes i do). I dont know anything about Linux and i'm not planning to use it, so i'm only interested in Android. So is there a department on this forum that specificly talks about Android and nothing else?

For me that would be most usefull, and perhaps for others to.

Thanks....

Urgent message!
Please don't update your Gemini unit until further notice. We have found issues with the latest over-the-air update and we are investigating.
Best regards,
Team Gemini

The checker as i notice is almost a month overdue and updating on a weekly base...nha.
I dont mind as my ordernr. is in the 8xxx it will take a few weeks and i can use this time to get to know all the tips and tricks you people discover for me and others. Also as time goes by more will be written about accesories and hardware isues and later batches will be (i hope) solve a few of the problems. Also the manufactor will get used to production processes and therefore there will be less failure.
(I'm an optimist)

So why need a checker?

Gemini PDA - Hardware / Screen to keyboard connection
« on: June 03, 2018, 02:00:17 pm »
Thanks, i guess standing on the screen is the ultimate stress test, but i'm not planning to it. The Psion had a pretty big loop in its ribbon, but overtime the case inside  collected quite a bit of rubbish an i think the ribbon sliding over the bottom made at the end more damage then stressing the bending of the cable. But thats just my thought.

Thanks for the replie.
