Close, but no cigar. This package contains usb8023y.sys & rndismpy.sys, but the linux.inf specifies usb8023k.sys & rndismpk.sys. I tried editing the inf & specifying the 'y' files, it loaded ok & the usb device shows up on the taskbar, but there's no connection to be had.

I had a similar problem; for some reason my Z doesn't like to be  connected to the front panel usb connectors, it agrees to work only with the connectors on the back side (those connected directly to the mother board). If you're connected to the front panel that might do the trick.

Sorry, I didn't notice your model (Zaurus 5000d). This is not a clamshell, so no "suspend on closing the hinge"...
But, I noticed you are running OZ3.5.3. I had a similar problem also with the 3.5.3, which was solved (except that above problem) after flashing to OZ3.5.4.

As was also suggested by Hrw.

I am using openzaurus 2.5.3 hentges rom with root on sd.
I have found that alarms will to wake the unit and beep. Until I manually turn the unit on
usually hours after the alarm was supposted to have gone off.
Any suggestions or is this normal?

I had a similar problem with KO/PI ([a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18348&hl=]see this thread[/url])

The only workaround I found was to disable the suspend by hinge option in the power options.

you also need to set the screen rotation/orrientation using randr
and map the keyboard using xmodmap
and load a nice window manager
you should try running small apps first to verify your xqt environment is ok before going to run bigger apps like abiword.
sylpheed and dillo are small apps which are actually quite useful but also help you determine whether your basic config is correct and working. once they work, you can tackle firefox and abiword and then maybe gnumeric which has many more dependencies.

I have randr, that fixed the rotation problem. I managed to run xterm, rxvt , xcalc and xedit. I also installed blackbox. All seem to work fine.
BUT, the most annoying problem is the refresh problem. I dont see any changes on the xqt window, no matter what I'm doing, until I switch to another app (opie-console for example) and back to the xqt window... then the window gets refreshed once.

Hi,
I tried to install xqt, like enodr suggested:

Install xqt from the feed:

ipkg update; ipkg install xqt

Run xqt then under a terminal:

export DISPLAY=:0.0

but when i run Xqt, I get (after few lines of output):

"Could not init font path element /usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/, removing from list!"
and then segemntation fault...

any suggestions?

After installing also the 100dpi fonts xqt starts.
But now I have these problems:
1) The screen is rotated.
2) The screen does not refresh, I have to switch to another app and then return to xqt to force it refreshing itself.
3) The Enter key does not work.

Are the missing files ones that are required from the game, or are they freely available (and therefore should be added to the ipk)?

Now that you mention that, I think that the files that are in the package are the copywrited ones... I'm not sure though, this should be verified.

Also, does the path thing affect running the program from the desktop icon?

what desktop icon? I didn't have any desktop icon installed, after working around the bug I wrote one myself.

got it... some missing files in the package, and ill-defined path.

first, the missing files:
autorail.grf
canalsw.grf
dosdummy.grf
openttd.grf
opentitle.dat
signalsw.grf
trkfoundw.grf

Apperantly openttd searches for the "data" folder in "usr/share/games/openttd/data" and not "/usr/share/games/openttd/data". So the game has to be ran from the root ("/") directory or else the game won't find the "data" folder.

p.s.
You must have these files from the original ttd game:
trg1r.grf
trgcr.grf
trghr.grf
trgir.grf
trgtr.grf
sample.cat

Hi,
I'm trying to install openttd from the feed (openttd-0.4.0-r0). I added the missing files from the original ttd, but when I try to run it, i get:

Error: No available language packs
Your sample.cat file is corrupted or missing!

any ideas?

I can disable the "suspend on hinge close" option, that was my workaround. But that wasn't my question, the question is: is there a way to do it from a script ie from commandline.

Hi,
does anyone knows a script command to disable the suspend when closing the hinge (on C7x0)?

I tried:

I also tried:

qcop QPE/System 'setScreenSaverMode(int)' 2
qcop QPE/System 'setScreenSaverIntervals(int,int,int)' 0 0 0which disable the dim/blank/suspend timeouts, but when closing the hinge the Z immidiatly went to sleep...

My problem is that when the "suspend when hinge is closed" option is on and the hinge is closed, the kopi-alarm doesn't work. when I disable this option everything works fine...

My SD doesn't show up in "slot 1" when it's mounted, but I think it's because it's ext2 and not vfat

I have a vfat SD, it doesn't appear in the mount manager also... so it's not the filesystem. but I only use one SD so it's not that much of a problem.
