cacko is the truth.
straight up.
the stock sharp rom is crap.

NOW my problem is trying to get my treo 650 which is on verizon to, allow me to use it as DUN.

anyone have any luck with that?
my treo uses a hacked rom from shadowmite to allow you turn "on" the DUN.
HOWEVER verizon doesnt officially support this.

any takers?

of course not. it's cool...
so here is the deal... I want a integrated HD.
I am planning on buying Drnicks and just selling my c1000 units.
I have 5 total in a very mint condition.
I was given them to see if I felt they were worth integrating into a small agency setting as PDA/Media devices and I am giving them the nay-no and opting to just get a 3000/3100 for myself to tinker on.

because of the sheer lack of support for the c1000/3000/3100 and linux in general I am not relaly interested in spending my life figuring out something that should be working anyway.

I see the 3000/3100 as a much more immediately usable device with wifi CF, 4gbSD and the internal 4gbHD making it a worthy item.

quite frankly my treo 650 just got the living crap optimized out of it and it is much more user friendly and works out of the box. the sketchiest thing I have had to go on my verizon treo 650 is overwriting the bluetooth rom to allow D.U.N. and I only potentially see overwriting the sd card driver with the lifedrive driver to allow for 4gb sd cards.

thats why i want a 3000/3100.

I'd gladly trade 2 c1000 units w 1 bluetooth card, and 1 256mb CF card for a 3100 with a wifi card, and a 2gb sd card or something comparable.

I even offered cash with the trade of a sinlge c1000
+ BT card for a 3000/3100

I am not a linux junkie. i am not a cmd prompt writer. that shit is the dark ages and i prefer my GUI life. and linux seems permanently stuck in cmd line world.

i mean i had a easier time installing gentooX on my xbox.
i had a easier time installing mods on it with NO MOD chip.
there was tons to figure out... but the community is much more well documented and centralized than the zaurus world... at least thats how i feel 8 days into owning a zaurus.

anyway... if anyone can help me out... please let me know.
the c1000 just isn't for me.

I am pulling my freaking hair out.
where is the clear list of files and install instructions for getting bluetooth to work on a c1000???
I have downloaded several pkgs blah blah blah
cannot find answer for bluetooth working on my c1000

please post clear answers.

not tutorials to 5500 devices or links to bluez stacks, or whatever.
the linux stuff is so archaic and pieced together it is really making me rethink the usefulness of the zaurus at all.

doesnt anyone have a clear answer to the files needed, and instructions for installing bluetooth to a c1000? and why the hell wasn't bluetooth and wifi built in anyway??? (dont waste my time ranting out about that last part, purely rhetorical)

Which, at the time last year, was $100. if it is only worth 20-40 then fine.

no you don't even need to flash the english if you don't want to. (it'd be nice... we aren't japanese)
yes yours come english... (if you want... we can reset to factory...)
we don't need usb cables. just the correct voltage chargers... or we can keep all of our accesories sans bluetooth cards (you get the bluetooth cards)

I estimate that our exchange is  as follows :
we give you -

bluetooth card  approx $100 USD
