Zaurus - pdaXrom / Debian Chroot - Missing Port Forwarding
« on: April 24, 2007, 08:06:36 pm »
Hey guys,

I've been trying to get ettercap working under chroot, but for some reason the directory  /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forwarding doesn't exist. Do I need to install a package??? I need this directory to do port forwarding.

Any advice would be appreciated,

thanks,

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Can't Get Xfce 4 To Run

Am I wrong, or you should try to startxfce4 ?
[div align=\"right\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

You're right. The base xfce4 file wasn't in the [a href=\"http://wasp.drun.net/zaurus/xfce-4.4/]http://wasp.drun.net/zaurus/xfce-4.4/[/url] directory. Once I installed it, xfce started up fine.

Thanks,

Finally got pdaxii13 install on my C1000. Everything runs ok, and I can install ipks ok. Problem now is the Brightness and Zoom shortcut key don't work?

Anybody with C1000 having the same problem?

I believe Meanie remapped some keys in pdaxii13.  I believe the function key is now mapped for generating F1 - F10 (function keys, kinda makes sense) using 1-0.  Try the kanji key next to the dash to activate zoom and brightness.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=156167\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Yep, the kanji key works for brightness control, just need to figure out what the zoom control is.

Thanks Drake01,

Hey Meanie,

Ok, I got pdaxii13 5.3.2 going and tried your zbackup 0.16. Well looks like your fix worked, the initrd.bin backup worked perfectly.  I'm still trying stuff, but no bugs so far.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / C1000 - Can't Nand Resize To 121
« on: March 13, 2007, 06:13:33 pm »

Hey guys, anybody with C1000 have problems resizing their nand to 121 mb?

I've tried pdaxrom beta3 install, pdxii13 5.3.1, 5.3.2 and no luck. I'll go to NAND Flash Utils enter 121, reinstall everything, but I still get the following:

Code: [Select]
filesystem size Used Available Use% Mounted On
/dev/root 53.0 53.0M 0 100% /
none 12.0M 20.0k 12.0M 0% /dev
/dev/mtdblock3 68.0M 3.8M 64.2M 6% /home
/dev/mtdblock3 68.0M 3.8M 64.2M 6% /mnt/user

From what I understand, /dev/root should change from size of 53 Mb to 121 mb.

Anybody have any ideas?

Nevermind, figured it out. For some reason, setting the Fix boot loader 68mb solved the problem.

I have a fresh install of pdaxii13-akita5.3.2 on my C3200 (flashed last night)
Code: [Select]
df -h
Filesystem      Size   Used  Available  Use%   Mounted on
/dev/root      121.0M   57.3M    63.7M    47%    /
none            12.0M   16.0k    12.0M    0%     /dev
/dev/hdc1        2.0G   32.3M     1.9G    2%     /mnt/ide
/dev/hdc3        3.4G   31.2M     3.4G    1%     /data
/dev/mmcda1      1.9G  417.4M     1.5G    22%    /mnt/card
/dev/hda1      989.3M  287.0M   702.3M    29%    /mnt/cf

EDIT:
When I first installed pdaxii13-akita onto my (then brand new C3200), I installed pdaxrom beta3 first.
Using pdaxrom beta3's installer, I reformatted my Flash partition to 121
Then I installed pdaxii13-akita
(maybe pdaxrom's flash reformatter works better, I don't know)

Thanks Jon_J, looks like my nand isn't resizing correctly.

No problem Meanie, you've done some amazing work with pdaxii13 and I'm at your service.

I think I've got a problem with my c1000. Whenever I do a 121 Nand flash, I assume the root will get bigger right?

This is what I usually get using df -h:

filesystem   size   Used   Available    Use%   Mounted On
/dev/root   53.0   53.0M      0   100%   /
none      12.0M   20.0k      12.0M   0%   /dev
/dev/mtdblock3   68.0M   3.8M      64.2M   6%   /home
/dev/mtdblock3   68.0M   3.8M      64.2M   6%   /mnt/user

should /dev/root be 121 in size?

Hey guys,

I installed pdaxii13 5.3.2 Nand version on my c1000, but when I try to install rox I get an error, something about being unable to write to /usr/lib. Also, when I check my / directory, I have zero space, is this correct?

During install I nand flash using 121 which I assume is correct, but once the install is complete and I jump into X, when I check my space under / is 0.

Am I missing something?

Ok, just want to make sure that I'm installing pdaxii13 5.3.2 correctly.
I resized my Nand to 121, everything installs fine. When X windows starts, I open a terminal and type the following df -h:

filesystem        size   Used   Available    Use%   Mounted On
/dev/root        53.0   53.0M      0     100%     /
none             12.0M   20.0k      12.0M   0%     /dev
/dev/mtdblock3   68.0M   3.8M      64.2M      6%       /home
/dev/mtdblock3   68.0M   3.8M      64.2M       6%       /mnt/user

is this correct when install on C1000? On my /dev/root is 100% used, where do I install applications like Rox?

Hey Meanie,

One more thing, I just checked the version of pdaxii13 I'm using and it's 5.3.1, and I check your pdaxii13 site, which has a 5.3.2 version, which uses a NAND install, am using the wrong os version?

Should I which to 5.3.2?

VirtusRex
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=156087\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

5.3.2 is a new version which is basically 5.3.1 plus some bug fixes + new zbackup
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=156088\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Ok, did a complete reinstall of pdaxii13 5.3.1. Set Nand flash resize to 121.
Installed Rox onto /mnt/usr.

Created backup initrd.bin based on 0.15.

Reinstalled everything and X windows started, but the bottom taskbar was gone, and the background was completely red.

While pdaxii13 was loading up, I keep getting the following msg:

jffs2_scan_eraseblock() magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x3100028: 0x0006 instead
