Are you running an openzaurus rom?

If not, go here and grab one: http://www.openzaurus.org/ (downloads > 3.5.3 > then choose your machine type).

For OpenEmbedded development, go here: http://openembedded.org, and head for the GettingStarted page linked from the front page or wiki.

It comes with the 2.6.11 Kernel?
Where do I get the source codes?
... and for the zImage for SL5600 ... there seems to be 2!  Which should I use?

I guess I should use the one with 20050409140246 extension? .... cos it appears in the mdsums

I am really tempted to give it another try!!!

2.6.11 (well actually 2.6.12-rc3) works on the c7x0 machines, work is well underway to port it to the other devices - have a look at the status pages on openzaurus.org

There are two zimages, depending on whether you have a PXA250 or PXA255 processor (cat /proc/cpuinfo). There are 3 initrd.bins, depending on whether you want GPE, Opie or a bootstrap (no GUI) setup.
