Black Screen After Reboot

I had opie running fine on my collie. Calendar wouldn't close so I did logout and rebooted from root.
It boots but it won't launch opie, just a black screen with a thin bright line in the botton. The last
line I can read in the screen is "starting opie".

 I've been searching for help, the best was a question here:

that resolved alone.

I did reset and I also did a reset while holding C & D in the heyboard.

Anything else I can try before I flash it ?

See if it's just opie which has crashed - try ssh'ing into it.
