Pdaxrom Livecd For Development?
« on: June 25, 2007, 02:05:15 pm »
Hey guys,

I've got a quick questions. I just started compiling packages for C1000 running pdaxii13, but some packages take a long time to compile.

Is the LiveCD (pdaXrom x86 ISO image (non SMP kernel)) located on http://www.pdaxrom.org/?q=blog/sash any good? Would I be able to use this to compile packages which I could then run on my C1000? Would compile time decrease?

Thanks,

VirtusRex

If you have a Linux box available, take a look at cross compiling:

Otherwise, yes, a beta 1 or 3 Live CD should work fine, but I'm not entirely sure how it works to compile stuff. Cross-compiling is just about as easy as regular compiling.
