Anybody Has These Issues In Beta4 For C7x0?

I have two major problems with beta4 for C7x0, if they can be fixed or workarounded, I will be able to use beta4 in my Z.

1. Can't bootup without AC Power: I noticed that when the AC cord is not plugged, my Z will turn off during startup at this line:
  "can't synthesize pci hotplug events".

Actually my Z will power off shortly (in about 5 seconds) if no AC cord is connected.

2. Suspend doesn't work: After suspend I have to eject the battery and do a full reboot, which in turn is impossible when I don't have AC power.

Of course, if the sound can work it will be "near perfect" for me.

if I were you I would use beta4 only for testing. For everyday-use is far from stable. I had so many problems that I had to go back to beta1 (sl-c860 here).

How about C1000/C3x00? Is the beta4 for C1000/C3x00 stable now?

i have corgi (sl-c700) and i don't have these problems with the battery.
is your battery allright??
also, when my battery is during power on lowpower: zaurus starts to blink and beta4 is turning him off... i can plug in the dc and then the starting scripts went work further. (sorry for my english : )
suspend is also working.
so i don't no... are there perhaps diffrent beta4's out?? i installed it some weeks ago.

I used another battery and it survived the bootup. But suspend still doesn't work.

BTW, Is your Amber LED blinking when you charge? Mine doesn't light at all. Only the battery icon is showing the charging animation.

I downloaded the pdaXrom-1.1.0beta4-Kathrin-corgi-current.zip file on July 3rd. and the date of the files inside is 6/9/2006.  I just re-downloaded the file and compared with the one I'm using, they are the same.

I've beta4 on a c760 and can confirm some of the problems you at hitting WRC4 ... but not the power chord stuff. But on my c760 sometimes the boot is long enough for the device to attempt to suspend ... but suspend is not working so it freezes. I just hit shift every now and then while waiting for system to come up.

In short:
The suspend works correctly on the emergency image but not in normal mode,
The text console has problems with command line editing,
The backlight does wierd things when battery falls to around 35% capacity in emergency mode,
The device auto reboots after reset (did not do thes before installing beta4).

I have solved the freeze on suspend on my device:
I have a c760 with broken audio hardware ... avoiding to load the sound modules makes the pda suspend correctly.

WRC4 ... does your PDA have similar hardware problems ?
Removing manually the whole snd module stack before hitting the power on button helps in your case ?
