Maximize/minimize ZUG forums
« on: February 10, 2004, 12:22:43 am »
This should please a few people..  the zug forums are now maximized by default... which means you don\'t see (and download) all the other crap from the main site.

If you want the forums to be a part of the main site again, say you like the recent post block on the left side, then just click the Minimize link at the top of the page.

As always... let me know what you think.

Best,

offroadgeek

Thanks offroadgeek.  This makes a big difference when you\'re reading zug on your Z.

BTW, is there any chance you could implement/enable/fix the \"jump to first unread message\" feature.  The little icons that normally do this (on other similar forums) on the zug only jump to the top of the page that contains the first unread message -- you still have to then search for the message on that page.  This would greatly improve the experience, especially when reading on the Z.

Thanks!

someone asked me why we had both recent posts blocks (on the left and at the top of the main page), so I thought I\'d remove the left one and see if someone complains.

I can just as easily add it back...

I totally see the benefit of it when the forum is minimized.. but I would like to ask... do you usually look at the forums minimized, and therefore want/like the side block?

It doesn\'t bother anyone who visits the forums with the default maximized viewing anyway.

Well since you put it that way...
It helps when you use the ole 56k-dailup, as you don\'t have to keep loading home page.

Thanks

Greg
