Is it possible to change the Opie icons?

External application icons go to $OPIEDIR/icons or $OPIEDIR/icons/<application name>.
However it is pointless trying to change most OPIE app icons (addressbook, etc.) as those are embedded into libqpe at compile time.
Even if you can still see the icons in the pics folder.
