I'm sorry to say that new members now have to jump through an additional hoop to get their logins enabled for posting messages, not just validate their email address.
This is because there's been a spate of spamming, in particular some rather nasty hard-core porn spam.
We do want to welcome people to our forum, whether experts or newbies, so please don't be put off, we're very friendly. You don't even need to have much to say, just participate as much as you want and enjoy!
