GPD Win 2 prototype unveiled

The Phawx has posted a video on Youtube, showing the first available photos of the GPD Win successor, the GPD Win 2.

What we know so far about the new device is that it has a new, faster CPU (an Intel Core M3-7Y30, compared to the Atom x7-Z87xx used on its predecessor), and a bigger, improved keyboard. It will have an user-accessible M.2 2242 slot for storage, which should make it easier for the user to expand the internal memory. It will use active cooling, but there will be no hardware switch, so the fan will be controlled only via software. The new CPU's RRP seems to be higher than the Win 1's one, so it will probably an expensive device when it will be released.

Thanks to Tomoe on #zaurus for the heads-up.

Thanks for the info, Varti.

Having had the WIN v1, this version looks much improved...especially, keyboard-wise.

Still happy with my Pocket though...
