Wine 3.0 for Android released, with x86 emulation on ARM
« on: January 24, 2018, 12:43:41 pm »
As seen on #planetgemini:

http://www.techradar.com/news/wine-30-lets...rams-on-android

"(...)Wine 3.0, is now available, and it can be installed via an APK file onto Android systems, with the app running a full-screen Windows display – including the Start menu – when the app is opened."
"At the moment the app supports audio and basic graphics, but not Direct3D, which many programs, especially games, need to use. However, Direct3D 10 and 11 support will hopefully be coming later this year."

This might become an interesting alternative to ExaGear, although on Android only.

Thanks to scops for the link.

I was using wine via qemu on the pi - it was quite slow, but usable for basic stuff. The x27 should be a bit faster than the pi2, so it should work.
