Change 'hostname' so nice name appears in WiFi

Can I change the hostname of my Gemini, it is currently 'android-???????????????' where I have obsfucated the actual numbers.

It seems that the only way to permanently change it is by modifying the buildprop file on a rooted Android:

Not sure if this will be of any use. How about changing it on the other device?

For instance, on my BT Home Hub I can overwrite the android-123123 etc. with a name of my own choosing.
