Just stumbled on this "
Linux CLI Launcher
", quite neat launcher / home screen that emulates a command line style interface. It provides a row of buttons of recently launched apps as well.

KISS looks cool, will have to try that. I kind of want someone to port dmenu over, a tiny keyboard driven one-line-of-text launcher would be really neat. These are functionally similar at least!
