No idea if this counts for anything...

But talking to one of our suppliers (Official Sharp Retailer in Japan)

\"My friend in Sharp said, they will not release new model in this spring.\"

Does not mean they will not announce a new model, though last time it was only two or three weeks between announcment and official launch, after which 10 unit were avialable in the whole of Japan

What I\'m thinking is stupid but if they make something on the 9xx like 970 then that would probably be the near end of zaurus SL-C series since they probably won\'t go to SL-C1000 or something...

End of product line because they ran out of numbers. Interesting

Guess they would have to bring out SL-D models...

Xxx if you here me, put Wifi + Bluetooth + Qtopia 2.0 + X11 compatibility in this new little device. Help the Open Source Community ideas to spread in people minds. Help one of the last humain trend of generosity to survive.

Mantra?

If a new device appear, it will still need a good OS to succeed in the European and US mass market. It\'s hard for all companies arround Sharp PDA to support a niche market.

All those years and nothing really powerful is out (I\'m not talknig about pdaXrom here but Sharp). Why? Does the true is hidden somewhere? (do you hear the Xfile music?) :|

You know come to think of it sharp has done a big jump in it\'s technologies... guess what sharps first invention was??? the mechanical pencil... in japan they call the mechanical pencil a sharp pencil (they always stay sharp) and now they make high tech computers... although the mechanical pencil is still hard to make and most are made in japan since they need small machines... super sharp!
