which rom best for apache/php/mysql?
« on: May 08, 2004, 04:07:03 pm »
Hi List,

I\'ve got a new zaurus 750 with the rom supplied by shirtpocket (Sharp 1.10JP, QTopia 1.5.4) and I really, really want to get apache, php and mysql working on it. Is there any one rom that is better/easier than others to get this installed and working?

I\'m also a bit confused as to which version of the apache/php setup to download. I found the doc here on getting apache to work, but that seemed to talk about an earlier version than the one currently available for download. That seemed to be the only info I could find on the subject- is there somewhere else I should be looking? (Sorry, I\'m a bit new to all of this and while I\'m willing to give most things a go I like to have documentary proof that it works first if poss   )

Many thanks

Jo

I got all three working with the stock Sharp ROM.  There were a couple of permissions problems with getting MySQL running - there were posts on the old Sharp forum but that won\'t help much right now - you could check around here too.

Thanks. Did you get the most recent version of apache working or an old one?
