CF card speeds up Froot?
« on: May 23, 2004, 06:56:31 pm »
I observed a strange phenomenon in the Zaurus 5600. I had loaded Froot and found that it was playable at a good speed/ framerate only when my CF card (Canon 32MB) was in the slot. With the card ejected the game ran at a much slower rate. The speed decrease of the fruits after being fired from the launcher was quite noticeable, and the images were also blurred and distorted while moving. With the CF card back in, the game ran much faster.
I wonder if anyone has noticed this phenomenon with Froot or any other application. What could be the possible reason for this?

I noticed that if you hold down the \"fire\" button, the fruit fired at normal speed (ie, fast) but just tapping the \"fire\" button slows the game down considerably.  Though in rare times I have noticed thaty it will play at full speed without holding down the fire button.  Strange, but still a great game!
