5600 ... why are all my /proc files empty?
« on: July 22, 2004, 03:35:43 am »
i have a new 5600, and i upgraded to Sharp ROM v1.32, and
SpecialKernelv1.3, now all my /proc files are empty. They show
as zero bytes in file manager, and there is nothing in them
if i cat them or view them in TextEditor. I'm referring to files
like cpuinfo, devices, filesystems and so on...they are all empty!

I discovered they are not empty!

But they appear to be empty when you list them
in FileManager (or try to ViewAsText). And they
also appear with a size of 0B when you ls them
in a Terminal. All this is normal!

But if you cat them then you can see their contents!
