Would there be tasks&desktops switching applets for mbpanel? If not, would fbpanel work properly with rotation and mb-applets? (currently we have no automatic panel alighnment after rotation and no handling of clicks on applets)
Would keyboard applet have possibility to change layouts?
Would there be support for usb mouses? We need the way to set X's "Device" and "Protocol" options in "InputDevice" section.

Finally, could we have sources of all applets and utilities written by pdaxrom team? Remember, you're GPLed.

I can't answer of all these questions.. All the python settings programs etc. are available due to them being in python. We haven't tested with anything else than matchbox so you will have to test when it comes out..

the sources for everything in the rom is available to you. just gotta look. like Laze said. The settings utilities are written in python, so just open up the program in vi if you want the source, and also, there was another thread already discussing where you can download our sources.

And as soon we have the time to setup a better site/cvs system for developers we will get rolling - but to be serious, at the moment there aren't that many newbie linux developers working on the Zaurus ;-)

But currently our focus is (as i have said a 10000xk times) to get a stable base/rom ready.

All settings utils & panel applets in 1.0.5 are NOT python scripts. I had never python interpreter installed.

But it doesn't really matter now, I downloaded pdaxrom builder package to tinker with.
