Socket Rev G BT Issue - Permission denied
« on: September 02, 2004, 09:57:27 pm »
Hi,

I've looked thorugh the forums and didn't see anything like my issue so maybe someone can help.

I am running Cacko 1.2.1 B and the Socket BT Rev G card.  Following the BT FAQ, I tried to connect with my PC with PAN with the network applet and my PC prompts me for the Pin for my Zaurus.  Then it fails to connect with my PC saying connect timed out.

I then followed the instructions on http://www.jens-koenen.de/index.html and everything looked OK up through:
pand --role PANU --service NAP --connect xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx --nodetach

When I do this, my PC again asks for the PIN and I give it (left at default 1234).  It takes a while and then pand returns "Permission denied(13)".  I ran this as root.

I changed my hic.conf to enable authentication and security.  On the PC side I am using the WIDCOMM 1.4.2 Build 10.  Some of the local services and client app settings have the Secure Connection set to "true".

Any ideas?

Thanks.
