boot into single user mode?

Moin,

I thought it's time for an update. So I updated my zaurus SL-5500G from
openzaurus 3.2 with opie 0.9 to opie 1.0.3.
The update was fine, I only had some problems, because the 'disk drive' was
 full.
I solved this, installed to the end, rebootet my zaurus and configured the
desktop a little bit. After an other reboot the  trouble begun:

The pda boots, even opie starts. I can 'touch' the tabs for 'pim',
'application' etc, but no single application will start! As soon as I klick
to an icon it begins to jump for a while, but the application won't start. I

Only the 'recalibrate' and the 'shutdown' works.

 even have no network connectivity.
But it's possible to open the applications in the lower bar, e.g. the
softkeyboard, the sound settings and the battery control.

So, what can I do now?
Is there a chance to boot into single user mode to test at the console what's wrong?

Reboot and press the "/?" key at the countdown, then select single user mode from the menu.
