Opie Website?
« on: December 04, 2004, 10:24:38 pm »
So I just got my Zaurus 6000L, and I've been searching around for all the great software I've heard about, the reason I bought a Zaurus over an iPaq.

Unfortunately I'm running into a lot of 404s.  opie.handhelds.org which a lot of packages seem to be hosted on isn't resolving.  I'm not sure what to do now.... Google is fruitless.

Basically, I'm trying to hunt down:
a vnc viewer
a media player for mpeg, divx, etc
and a pine package that installs on the Sharp ROM (the one I found come up as blank)

Any ideas on where these packages have moved to?

Thanks

hanhelds.org had a hardware failure recently, and should be back online relatively soon.

if you're looking for packages for the sharp rom, you can always see if you find them at the ZUG Feed
Search the OESF Wiki

Ah-ha, that was exactly what I was looking for.

But one more question... I see in there a file opie-mediaplayer-codecs, which are the codecs for the opic media player 2, one of the packages I was looking for....

Right under it is opie-mpegplayer.  Is that different then the opie media player?  And if so, where might one find the actual media play and not just the codecs, since it doesn't seem to be in that directory.

Only thing close in that directory is "MPlayer" which I assume is an actual port of mplayer, rather then this opie media player....

Thanks.
