check this out.. on my sl-c3000

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04dd:9050 Sharp Corp. Zaurus C-860 PDA

ahhh get this.. that was with usb storage on.
with tcpip on.. i get this

You can make it say whatever you want - it's a one line change in the kernel source for the particular modules.

Obviously they couldn't be bothered to change it.

My 5500 reports itself as a 5500 when using mass storage as I changed it (for fun).
