Using Billionton Cf Ethernet Card On Laptop
« on: April 08, 2005, 03:57:28 am »
Hi there!

I'm trying to use the said card (it's a 10MB card called "CFLT-10B") on my laptop, via a pcmcia-cf adapter. I found articles on tuxmobile.org stating it would work, but they only referred to the documentation that came with the card. I got mine used, so I don't have that...

Is anybody using this card successfully? Here's what "cardctl ident" returns:
Code: [Select]
Socket 0:
    product info: "CF" , "10Base-Ethernet" , "1.0", ""
    function: 6 (network)
Socket 1:
    no product info available

I'm using Knoppix 3.8 and/or Debian Sarge, with 2.6 kernels. I'd be grateful for any hints and pointers... oh yeah, the pcmcia system seems to work fine. If I should give any more info on the system, I'd surely go through any effort

What I tried so far: Loaded the modules "pcnet_cs" and "axnet_cs", both would load, but not help...

Cheers
Philipp
