Wanted: Bricked Sl-5x00

I am looking for a SL-5500 or 5600 that has a working touchscreen and backlight buy may be otherwise defunct. I broke the touchscreen on mine and am looking for replacement parts that do not seem to be available otherwise (as per sharp USA customer support and 3 different parts distributors).

If you have an old, unwanted, or otherwise broken 5x00 with a usable touchscreen, I am interested in buying it from you.

I am in New York and prefer PayPal, but will consider other methods of payment if you'd like.

Dang, wish I'd have known that a year ago!  If I can find a supplier that still sells that screen I can resurrect two SL-5500's that I have laying around here.

cf my message on 6000/3100 screen transplant. touchpanels are mostly compatibles (4 wires one measure resistance)

screens are only compatible within a family - ie 5600/5500/5000. I think CG silicons (6000 and clamshells) are compatible, but I want to test that with a real life hack
