Nand Backup & Service Menu On C3100
« on: November 26, 2005, 09:05:00 pm »
Thought I would post this as I spent several hours trying to access the Service Menu
of my SL-C3100 running 1.1.0 RC12 (akita) in order to perform a NAND backup.

After putzing around with removing the battery and/or toggling the battery cover
lock switch (to no avail)  I found I can get the service menu by simply pressing
"d" and "m" keys simultaneously while issuing a "reboot".

Perhaps I posted this to the wrong forum branch ('twas my first ever posting).
My ROM is pdaXrom - don't know if this issue is ROM-specific or not.

FYI, your method works with the original Japanese ROM too.

Thanks for the tip.
I was trying like almost for an hour using the old "octopus" method without success.

edit:  On the same note, I tried pressing the "OK" button after issuing a reboot, and easily got to the Maintenance menu. No more fiddling with batteries and locks. Nice!
