Battery Settings
« on: October 12, 2005, 11:10:48 am »
I am running the qtopia-batteryapplet in my tray.
At present it drops from 100 to 40%, then lets me know when critical after usage.
Is there a specific file I can edit to get a more accurate battery readout?  Could I edit it to let me know as it goes from 100-90-80-70-etc...?

Thanks in advance.

BTW: anyone know where I could get LauncherX?

You need a new kernel.

OZ has improved battery reporting.

I assume I would need to reflash with a CF card?
I'll have to read up on the latest OZ rom.  Are they still under development for new upgrades?

Thx, lardman.

Yes, I'm afraid so.

Yes, some release candidate images are being created at the moment and I expect that they'll be released soon.

Sort of, hancom word works last time I tried, but sheet doesn't because of soft-float.

Try a search if you need more detail.

But, theoretically, if I use OZ with GPE, could I use Siag and FLWriter for spreadsheet and word?

Tetsu kernel or Cacko rom makes this possible.

Yes, but isn't Cacko for SL-Cxxx, not SL-5500?

Theoretically yes, but I just looked and neither is in the OE meta data (there are other apps available - gnumeric & abiword for example), however if these are what you want then you could add them (we're always interested in new apps) which shouldn't be too painful a process (he says  )
